Boys Lacrosse Camp - Weeks 1 & 2

The BYU Boys Lacrosse Camp – Weeks 1 & 2 are overnight camps designed for male lacrosse players between the ages of 12-18 that focuses on the fundamentals and the advanced skills of the game of lacrosse. 

Weeks 1 & 2 of the 2014 camp will feature All-Star Games at each age group as well as The Top 40 Cougar Showcase Game.

All skill levels and positions are welcome.  Position specific training will be provided to all positions including goalies and faceoff specialists.  Campers will be placed on competitive teams based on age and skill level. 

Session 1 will focus on the fundamentals of the game during the first practice of each day.  These fundamentals include stick work, passing, shooting, ground balls, 1v1 play and other fundamental skills that are practiced on a daily basis on the collegiate level.  The afternoon practice of each day will focus on team play and competition. Players will be divided in to 1 of 4 groups based on year and school and skill level on the first day of camp.

Session 2 will focus on the advanced skills of the game during the first practice of each day.  These skills include transition, the 3 man game, odd man situations, team defense, team offense and other advanced skills that are practiced on a daily basis on the collegiate level.  The afternoon practice of each day will focus on team play and competition.  Players will be divided in to 1 of 4 groups based on year and school and skill level on the first day of camp.

Note

Participants MUST bring the following equipment to camp: helmet (NOCSAE-approved), mouth guard, elbow and shoulder pads, gloves and lacrosse stick.

Equipment (helmet, gloves, and elbow and shoulder pads) can be rented for $40 ($25 for Cubs and Boys Day Camps), but you must bring your own stick. You may rent equipment when you register for camp.
