Prospect Camp & Clinic Description

Join BYU’s Head Coach Matt Schneck for two full days at the BYU Lacrosse Winter Prospect Camp & Clinic.  The BYU Lacrosse Winter Prospect Camp & Clinic is designed for athletes who are serious about playing lacrosse at the next level.  The BYU Lacrosse Coaching staff will provide the opportunity for each athlete to showcase and improve their lacrosse skills in front of BYU Men’s Lacrosse Coaching Staff and gain a competitive advantage as you compete for opportunities at the next level.  

Registration costs includes lunch each day and a BYU Lacrosse T-Shirt.

Campers are responsible to bring their own equipment.  Equipment rental is available in advance: $20

Check-in begins Dec 29th at 8:30 AM in the BYU Indoor Practicie Facility

Prepare for the 2018 Season

The BYU Lacrosse Winter Camp offers a unique opportunity to prepare for the upcoming season with top college coaches and current college players.  Players of all levels will benefit from two days of drills and instruction geared to their specific position and level of play in the comfort of BYU’s temperature controlled Indoor Practice Facility (IPF).

 

This year’s BYU Lacrosse High School Winter Skills and Prospect Camp will include:

·         Film Breakdown

·         Position Breakouts (including goalie and FOS)

·         Scrimmaging

·         Insight about the college recruiting and selection process.

 

At the end of each session, players have the chance to win top-of-line lacrosse gear.

Camp Director

BYU Men's Lacrosse Head Coach Matt Schneck is the camp director.  Coach Schneck is entering his 9th year as the BYU’s Head Coach and has led the Cougars to 8 straight National Championship Tournament appearances and the Cougars are currently the reigning 2017 RMLC Champions.  Schneck was named the RMLC Coach of the Year and the Lacrosse Magazine/Jac Coyne MCLA National Coach of the Year in 2011.  Since leading the Cougars to the 2011 MCLA National Championship, Coach Schneck has now won a National Championship as a player (1997), as an Assistant Coach (2007) and as a head Coach (2011).  Schneck has coached over 100 MCLA All-America Players while head coach at BYU.
