The BYU Halfback Academy has been developed to focus on the specialized technical, tactical, mental, and leadership skills necessary to play scrumhalf and flyhalf at the highest levels.
HBA will teach specialized skills including passing, kicking, evasion, and decision-making. The goal of the HBA is to develop America's next group of elite halfbacks and the coaches that coach them.
The Halfback Academy trains boys and girls of all ages to set them on the path of high performance rugby.
This event goes from 6-8 pm on Thursday (June 18) and 9 am - 4 pm on Friday (June 19) and includes both classroom instruction and training sessions on the field.
HBA is directed by Kimball Kjar whose achievement include former USA Eagle, collegiate All-American at BYU, current BYU rugby assistant coach for the three-time national champions, IRB Top Coach 2011, and USA Rugby Coach Development Officer.
