Your success in virtually all sports hinges on top line speed and explosive power. This camp focuses on how to develop speed and increase quickness in all directions.
This camp will also focus heavily on power. Camp participants will receive professional instruction on weightlifting and will be given the opportunity to use BYU's excellent athletic weight room throughout the week.
Join various BYU coaches for four days of extensive training. This camp is directed to athletes of ALL SPORTS where speed and power are essential components. Campers will be directed in the importance of proper warm up and cool down, including the importance of pillar prep and tips for injury prevention. Emphasis will be placed on speed in multiple directions where the athletes will learn proper posture and mechanics of acceleration, shuffle step, crossover step, back pedaling and cutting in multiple directions. Campers will also discover the importance of weight training for optimal athletic performance, and will be taught proper technique in olympic lifts as well as other supplementary lifts that help develop power.
Open to any individual that meets the age requirement.
